Engine Control

The NGK NOx sensor can be integrated into the engine management system. It can be used for NOx catalyst control to reduce NOx tail pipe emission.

The properties of the sensor:

• Length of sensor wires: 500- 600 mm

• Size of control electronics: 108 x 65 mm2

• Technology: PCB in aluminium housing

• Connector to sensor: 8 pins

• Connector to ECU: 4 pins (Batt, GND, CAN H, CAN L)

Operation of the sensor:

• Sensing Element: Physical Measurement of NOX and Air/Fuel-ratio,

• Electronic Control Unit: 3 pumping currents (Ip0, Ip1, Ip2), Temperature control (800°C), OBD

• Engine ECU: Heat-up flag, OBD II (functional)
