Ceramic
Substrates HONEYCERAM®
In the early 70’s a new type
of catalyst support, the ceramic substrate HONEYCERAM®,
was developed for the catalytic converter.
The HONEYCERAM® gets its name from the array of parallel
channels or cells that create the look of a honeycomb.
This new design possessed compatibility with catalysts and
coatings, flexibility of shape and size, high geometric surface
area, durability, low pressure drop, space efficiency, and
fast warm-up. |
